On 6 May Sofia Bergh defended her thesis. The afternoon started with opponent Professor Gillian Bates, University College London, presenting the field of research and then Sofia talked about her published papers and work done during the PhD student years.
Questions and discussion followed and then it was time for the examining committee deliberations. It was a fairly short meeting before the decision was announced.
