Petersén co-authors Letter in Cell Metabolism, March 2012

The link between neurodegeneration and energy metabolism is the focus of not only TNU:s research but also for the international colleagues Drs Patrick Weydt, Ulm University, Germany, and Luc Dupuis, Strasbourg University, France. They have now written a letter entitled Progranulin bridges energy homeostasis and fronto-temporal dementia published in the March issue of Cell Metabolism, commenting on the findings of Matsubara et al in PGRN is a key adipokine mediating high fat diet-induced insulin resistance and obesity through IL-6 in adipose tissue, published in Cell Metabolism 15, 38–50, 2012.
