For patients

The HD clinic
At the HD Clinic, the specialities of psychiatry, neurology, rehabilitation medicine and clinical genetics are working together. We provide information about the disease and the latest news about HD research. We offer genetic counselling before taking a genetic test. After having taken the genetic test we offer follow-up and, if needed, treatment.
We also offer evaluation, treatment and follow-up with our psychiatrist and neurologist as well as with the multi-professional team that consists of a nurse, social worker, neuropsychiatrist, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, speech therapist and dietician. Although there are no treatments yet that modify disease progression, there is still a number of efficient medicines for different symptoms. The majority of the visits at the clinic are planned for Thursdays and Fridays.
